- Hypnosis: Is a state of being that happens to all of us throughout our day/Every day. Gamma state: concentration and problem solving.
- Beta state: Busy and active mind, present moment.
- Alpha state: restful and reflective states
- Theta state: drowsy and full access to memories/when you start to wake up in the morning, wake from a nap, and start to doze off to sleep at night.
- Delta state: sleeping and dreaming state.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis:
- Hypnosis is not like falling asleep.
- You feel present and alert.
- It is normal to remember everything after a session.
- Only 3% of the population goes into a Somnambulistic level.
- People don’t realize when they are hypnotized.
- Some people will visualize, others feel, and others hear. Some can experience all.
- We do not know what will take place in the session.
- Expectations: When you create an expectation, you give the Ego permission to take over. This will limit your experience and can also sabotage you by creating disappointment and feelings of failure because things did not go a certain way. Remember, the possibilities are endless when you allow that childlike wonder and excitement to be present instead of “The Controller” who is afraid. The practitioner/Guide can only do so much at that time because you’ve allowed the Ego to believe that you’ve failed…..So, I encourage you to have an open mind, open heart, and be free of judgment or expectations. Simply trust and the rest will flow like magic. What you are meant to experience from that higher part of yourself will be what is meant to be and what you are ready for.
- Why is the process so long? The interview is the part that takes a while. The client connects with the practitioner and the practitioner connects with the client creating a trust that you don’t get without understanding the client’s story/from where they came. This supports the client in many ways such as better understanding their next step, becoming aware of behaviors that do not support the client any longer, where the emotional origin is for trauma, and the coping mechanisms that block us now as an adult from moving forward. Furthermore, by opening sharing your story, you can experience breakthroughs with the practitioner knowing that all shared is confidential giving yourself permission to be authentically yourself.
- Afterwards, you will do a quick debriefing which allows you to come fully back and ground yourself in the present time.
- All sessions are audio recorded and uploaded and sent through an email on MP3 format for you to listen to anytime in the comfort of your own home.
- Lastly, this is a time for you to give yourself the gift of love.
